While the classic Croix de Fer has a timeless look with traditional tube diameters, a full-length 1 1/8 head tube, and classic chainstays, its younger, wilder brother, the Fugio, boasts a tapered head tube, carbon fork, and a lowered chainstays on the drive side. Constructed from Reynolds 725 tubing, the Fugio can be equipped with either a 700C wheelset with tires up to 40mm or a 650B wheelset with 47mm travel. While the Croix de Fer, as part of the generic term "gravel bike," has always leaned toward touring, the Fugio develops its strengths in fast off-road use. But with high-quality, wide slick tires, you also get a modern, agile, and versatile fun vehicle for all purposes on the 650B wheels, which can comfortably, quickly, and fun-packed all sorts of tasks, from bikepacking to daily commuting. There are plenty of mounting points, from mudguards to rear racks, Any-Cages, and top-tube bags. Just like the Croix de Fer, the Fugio is also front derailleur compatible, so you have countless setup options.

Regarding sizes and geometry, our recommendation is from the Croix de Fer - if you prefer a more sporty seat, you can choose the smaller frame size.

While some new versions of the Fugio are now available as complete bikes with an aluminum frame, the frameset still comes in steel, which we appreciate thanks to its riding characteristics.

The spray paint looks funky with the neon yellow decals, but let's not argue about taste.

We currently have all frame sizes available in limited quantities. Since the frame is currently barely available in Europe, we are now offering it online for a limited time. Of course, you can pick up all frames in-store at the Mütze, but we also ship them.

The frame comes with thru axles, the stem and seat post shown in the pictures are not included in the delivery and are only a serving suggestion.
