GENESIS Croix de Fer 835 fully equipped
After a long wait we got some black Croix de Fer framesets from Reynolds Technology 853 again. We immediately set up one of the frames for our stand at Cyclingworld Europe in a sporty, everyday touring bike version with a complete lighting system. Power and light come from the SON, spoked in-house with Sapim Spokes Philippines in DT Swiss rims, supplemented at the rear by a Hope Technology Ltd RS4 hub. The black gem with the silver accents rolls on 35mm wide Panaracer Gravelking Slick with brown sidewall, the polished fenders come from Berthoud Cycles, all attachments from our friends at RitcheyLogic.
The frame sets from Genesis Bikes are currently available in all sizes and, thanks to the steel fork, are also ideal for bikepacking setups with larger gear including lowriders. The extremely versatile frame from the English company, which was one of the first to combine disc brakes, plenty of tire clearance and a drop bar at a time when such bikes were still called adventure bikes, is now regarded as one of the role models for the gravel bike genre.
