GOOD TIME TUESDAY - Women's Road Cycling Movement - 2026 Season
There are many reasons why women ride road bikes.
There are many reasons why women ride road bikes with other women.
And there are many reasons why women sometimes only ride road bikes with other women.
--------------
We'll give you one extra good reason – our Good Time Tuesday
We welcome riders of all fitness levels, ages, and experience. Our weekly after-work ride has one big goal: We want to have a good time on the bike with you and share, maintain, and enhance the joy of road cycling together.
We strive to accommodate everyone.
Those new to cycling can gain group riding experience here.
Those who, for whatever reason, are not in their best form can draft in the front rows.
Those with more power in their legs, who could easily ride much faster, are welcome to use their surplus energy for the group: riding in front against the wind, smoothly closing gaps in the rear rows, or blocking roads and then sprinting back into position. Or they can count the Good Time Tuesday as an underestimated and often neglected Zone 1/Zone 2 training session or a recovery ride after tough weekends.
Join us. We look forward to seeing you!
6:00 PM: Briefing
6:15 PM: Departure
Route always somewhere between 50 and 70 kilometers, mostly flat*
Moderate pace, meaning an average speed of 22-25 km/h on the speedometer
Drop handlebars required (no MTBs, no triathlon extensions, no fixies, no e-bikes)
In good weather, a leisurely "roll-out" at various locations
Participation only after prior registration.
Anyone who has never participated in one of our rides before, or only occasionally, must attend the briefing at 6:00 PM. Everyone else is also invited to listen to our information about the route, group rules, and conduct towards other road users. We place great importance on being perceived as a disciplined and well-organized group.
100% of the proceeds from ticket sales go to a good cause. We will decide during the season whether it's for World Bicycle Relief or Cycle4Waters, or a combination of both.
*On the following Tuesdays, we plan hilly tours: May 26th, June 23rd, July 21st, August 25th
In case of very negative weather forecasts, it is possible that an appointment may be canceled or postponed at short notice.

Our sponsors:
IRIS is a women-specific cycling apparel brand from the Netherlands. The founder is Iris Slappendel, a designer and former professional road cyclist. In addition to her colorful designs with functional details specifically for women, she is also known for her commitment to equality, professionalism in women's cycling, and sustainable development in sports.
Schicke Mütze has carried the brand in its range for many years and fondly looks back on the intensive and personal collaboration with Iris. Check out the items in the store and feel free to buy something. We are happy to see a lot of IRIS in our peloton, although it is certainly not a requirement.
We also wear ABUS Road helmets, also sponsored by ABUS – a company practically from the neighborhood. Here too, there is a very special personal connection, for which we are very grateful. This allowed us to learn a lot about ABUS that others might not know. Feel free to ask.
You can also test and buy ABUS helmets for yourself at Schicke Mütze.
ERGON
For the first time this season, we are also sponsored by ERGON Bike Ergonomics. Some of our guides have been riding Ergon saddles for years and are very convinced by them.
Take the opportunity and test the saddles with us.
Schicke Mütze always has some test saddles available. If you want to use a test saddle for a Good Time Tuesday Ride, that's also possible. However, please inform Schicke Mütze beforehand and be there at least 30 minutes before departure so that the saddle can be mounted in the workshop.
