The cap overnighter in the Eifel

Der Mützen-Overnighter in die Eifel

For years, we've been toying with the idea of organizing an overnight trip to the Eifel. Volker and Birgit put the plan into action, combining two routes that combine asphalt and forest highways, taking us all 110km to the Eifel and 120km back home.

You can stay overnight at the cozy "Klein-und-Fein" guesthouse in Heimbach or, in true style, at the local campsite. There will be a communal dinner for everyone on Saturday evening and a delicious breakfast on Sunday morning. Pack snacks for the road; we'll also be stopping for a break along the way.

You can get the tickets at Eventbrite. The guesthouse is almost fully booked, but there's still space at the campsite.

Start: Saturday, May 17, 2025, 9:00 a.m., Schicke Mütze, Oststr.119, 40210 Düsseldorf

The Heimbacher Klein & Fein Pension offers accommodation for up to 15 people in 6 newly renovated rooms. Freshly and tastefully renovated showers can be found in the small house off the hallway. Wi-Fi allows for instant uploading of your day's adventures, leaving nothing to be desired.

You can always book the double rooms as a double starting place, the places in the multi-bed rooms can be booked individually, with one four-bed room each for women and one for men.

The family-friendly local campsite in the Rur Valley offers a touch more adventure. Here, you can enjoy a location directly on the Rur River, sleep in your own tent, and, of course, use all the amenities. First-class bikepacking life.

Before the event, we will hold an online meeting to answer any questions you may have and provide you with all the route information. You will receive an invitation by email to the address provided well in advance of May 17th.

You can get tickets here.
