Aren't we all a little tri? - Lars Terörde
As a triathlete, Lars Terörde knows from painful experience: A successful start is by no means half the battle. And so he has now followed his enthusiastically received debut, the wonderfully funny collection of stories »Barfuss auf dem Dixi-Klo«, with the no less amusing second installment. With many more cheerful episodes from the world of over-motivated amateur athletes.
"Aren't we all a bit tri?" he asks this time, the long-distance steeled Düsseldorf quintal, and they are all back (and not at a loss for answers): The eternal challenger in the form of the brother-in-law, who is lazy about training but increasingly dangerous. The wife, who is exhausted by the roommate's training plans and competitive moods. And of course the Rhenish giant, who never tires of taking on wondrous Herculean tasks of his own free will. A world best time of the year with start and finish at the icy indoor pool car park. The self-experiment, whether it is possible without training-free days. And as the highlight of the season: crossing the Alps with a racing bike, brother-in-law and sister's heart.
Whether triathlete or runner, cyclist or swimmer: anyone who romps about with perhaps limited talent but unrestrained enthusiasm in the field of the Everyman will find himself in the new adventure stories of the white Kenyan. No eye, no functional fiber stays dry...
