Would you like some motivational help? The winter bitch parade is back.
As a cyclist, you are happy about nice weather. Shorts, short-sleeved jersey, white socks, sunshine and a good bike: That fits like a glove on a road bike ride. But we also have a heart for the rest of the year: gray winter days when a mist lies on the fields from morning to evening, which seems to swallow all sounds. Or that nasty drizzle that always comes from ahead, no matter which direction you drive. And of course those freezing cold winter days when the sun shines flat on your face and you are always dazzled because even the ice puddles on the roadside reflect. Even on days like this, a bike ride can be fun. Because you didn't just put your feet up lazily on the couch, but went outside, grabbed the winter bike and met the others, pedaled for two to three hours in a nice and relaxed manner along farm roads, chatted and at the end got mad at the hot shower or bath.
Two years ago we created a series with the winter bitch parade that was great fun for everyone involved. Last year we didn't want to overdo it, so we skipped it. But in the last few weeks, many passengers have asked if we can do something again in the winter months. And we hate to say no. So let's get started. Besides, we're happy when we get our ass up. There's a group waiting, good motivation to get out of the warm bed.
It starts on November 1st. Every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Rheinterrassen. Like two years ago. Depending on the weather 2-3 hours, 50 to 70 kilometers, mostly flat. Relaxed pace. No coffee, no cake, no fuss. Conveniently, the Stutenbeiken winter group meets once a month at the same location, which makes it easier for everyone involved.
Come visit us.
